Foundations of Democracy Series
The Foundations of Democracy Series engages K–12 students in four key concepts to understanding politics and governance: Authority, Privacy, Responsibility, and Justice. This multidisciplinary curriculum draws from many fields of study, including political science, literature, and environmental studies.

The Authority program teaches students how to distinguish between authority and power, and how to evaluate rules and people in authority using reasonable criteria.

The Privacy program teaches students the importance, costs, and benefits of privacy in a free society

The Responsibility program teaches students about what it means to take responsibility—including its potential downsides.

The Justice program gets students to understand the basic principles of justice and fairness across society and how to remedy wrongs and injuries.
